Frequently Asked Questions
How do you ensure the safety of pets in your care?
Here at Buttercup’s Pawsome Adventures, ensuring the safety and well-being of your pet is our top priority. We always start with a thorough meet and greet to understand your pet's unique needs and behaviors. With our experience and training in pet care, we provide personalized attention, closely supervising your pet during walks and playtime to prevent accidents and ensure their comfort. We are prepared for emergencies with pet first aid training and maintain open communication with you throughout. Additionally, we are fully insured for your peace of mind. Our commitment is to create a secure and nurturing environment where your pet can thrive, delivering exceptional care that exceeds expectations.
Can we have a meet and greet before the first visit with my pet?
Absolutely! In fact, its required that we have a meet and greet beforehand. This will be scheduled; it is 100% complimentary and there is never an obligation after meeting. We require a meet and greet ahead of time to ensure that we have met the pet parent in person and they see who will be spending time with their beloved pet, and we get to meet the pet in their natural habitat and get to know them a little bit before we are alone with them! Our goal is always for everyone involved to feel safe and comfortable.
Do you only service Fort Collins?
Nope! We also service the towns of: Laporte, Severance, Timnath, Wellington, Windsor, and Loveland. Due to the additional time and resources required to travel outside of Fort Collins there will be a surcharge applied for each visit outside of city limits. This will be an additional $5 per visit made outside of Fort Collins.
Do you provide updates and pictures after every visit?
Yes! We will keep you updated on how the visit went, and how your pet is doing, along with pictures. We also let you know when we have arrived and left your residence.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that life is unpredictable, and that sometimes things just happen and plans need to change! We do our best to be fair to our pet parents, and to ourselves, with our cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the visit will be refunded in the form of a credit for any future booking. Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the service will be refunded in full back to you.
What if I come back early from my vacation?
Plans change, no worries! As soon as you know of your change, please let us know. Your remaining visits will be refunded in the form of a credit for a future booking.
How will I get my house key to my sitter?
At the time of our initial meeting, we securely collect keys which are then labeled and stored in a dedicated, locked box. This streamlined process ensures seamless scheduling of pet care services without the need for repeated key handovers. Alternatively, if you prefer, you may designate a secure hiding place for a spare key on your property. For homes with coded entry systems, such information will also be securely stored in our key lockbox.
What happens if my pet gets sick or injured while in your care?
Prior to each visit, we ensure we have up-to-date veterinary information on record for your pet. In the event of an emergency, we will promptly contact you and transport your pet to your designated veterinarian, or to an emergency veterinary clinic if the incident occurs outside regular business hours.
Are you insured?
Yes! We are fully insured to provide peace of mind to clients.
